Caregivers are often the first to notice, attend and report wounds and skin tears. 

Giving the right treatment, at the right time can prevent distress and anguish to residents plus prevent ongoing costly treatment.  By understanding the healing process Caregivers are empowered and will be able to give the right care, at the right time and pass on the right information to RN’s.

  • Wounds - the healing process
  • Know how to clean wounds and what products foster healing
  • Pressure areas and why prevention is important and in the event of a pressure area forming, how good management leads to rapid healing
  • Skin Tears - prevention, management and treatment
