- Rehabilitation of the heart patient - Secondary Prevention
- Current research in heart health- Using evidence to Bridge the Gap
- Know the drugs used, why and for what condition
- Understand terminology used and what it means i.e. STEMI or NSTEMI and know the difference
- Learn the factors important in heart health
Aim:
To provide a programme which will assist practitioners to gain confidence in
nursing patients with cardiac problems, improved delivery of patient education
and develop a better understanding of cardiac procedures.
About the Presenter:
Jocelyn Bell RNMN; Adv. Dip
Nursing; Post Grad. Cardio- thoracic and Coronary Care, Green Lane Hospital,
Auckland. Post Grad .Cardiac Rehabilitation NZ and Brisbane Australia.
BHSc.Auckland. Jocelyn has specialised in this field for many a year,
and now works in rehabilitation of cardiac patients. She presently
works as Cardiac Nurse Specialist, Waitakere Hospital for Waitemata District
Health Board.
